Dale 1891 is owned by cinema owners, Howard and Gonen. They decided to get into the bar business in 2011 and purchased the bar. They named the bar after a local hero. Howard got his son Scott to run the bar with a $80,000 investment to get a stake in the business. The place started successful and Howard and Gonen focused on their cinema business.

Pastimes has been known for its soups, which are all handmade by Hilke every week. They are made with all-natural ingredients and she made 8-10 five-gallon buckets every week.
