Tivo remote not working with new batteries.
Thought maybe a reset of the TiVo's remote pairings and resetting the remote would help. Now it's worse. Neither the originally paired remote, the new remote, or a third remote I borrowed from a TiVo mini will Pair. In other words, the TiVo itself, not the remotes, is refusing to Pair.

I have the Samsung surround sound bar connected to the HDMI ARC port and the Samsung TV controls it, so either the Tivo remote or the TV's control it. The Tivo remote only controls power, volume, mute and input functions and I did not program in the sound bar remote.Sep 28, 2023 · Useless. As this was an entirely new TV (the 2015 model too), I found it too odd that the remote stopped working on the old TV and the new TV as well. I would notice that the first press of the input or volume buttons would result in the Roamio yellow LED to show its presence for a moment - therefore I would think that the TiVo was getting a proper RF signal from the remote.

Took it apart and hit it with compressed air, lots of dust, back together and it still showed the multiple inputs problem like many signals from the remote. Took the Tivo apart again and measured the CR2032 cmos battery and got 3.127V. Too low. Put in a new battery, 3.3+v, and it seems fixed. BillJohnston.
Strange, I have 3 Harmony 900 Remotes one for my Tivo Roamio and all my other hardware in the family room and 1 in each of the bedrooms for the Tivo Mini's. I have all the full controls with the Tivo hardware with my harmony's including the Green Thumbs Up and Red Thumbs down buttons on screen, etc. I rarly touch the Tivo Remotes.
