This is probably a dumb question, but have any of the patch notes ever addressed the whole OP estoc issue? Haven't played in a few months and I'm curious if From ever did anything about this. Lothric Knight sword is very good. Estoc isn't as good as it used to be bit it's still decent. Pontiff curved sword is really good and doesn't need infusion. It's an absolutely top tier weapon on a quality build. Dark Sword's range isn't as far as the Estoc, it's also not as fast, and doesn't primarily deal the thrusting damage that the Estoc does for doling out huge counter damage. If left hand weapons are the same in Dark Souls as they are in Demons, they will be only good for dual wielding (to create a stunlock effect and offer faster off-hand swings) and to give some sort of passive bonus (like the magic-boosting Kris Blade).
