Dec 16, 2022 · Thought I should post to help others on this board. I have a 2013 titanium 2.0L ecoboost with 95k miles on it and had the same issue. It used to shudder/vibrate/rattle annoyingly at around 1800-2000 rpm at around 35-40 mph while going up a hill with light accelerator pressure. Seemed like it didn't want to downshift.

The transmission started making a clunking noise (kind of shakes when you put into drive) when I was driving at 50 km in town and was slowing down. Till then it there had been no problems. They do a diagnostic and tell us it's a torque converter shudder and it'll be $3500 to repair. The mechanic says that really strange for so little mileage on the car. Oh, and the warranty convienently expired a week prior (end of July, brought it in the first week of August).
