Just watched the X-Men (2000) for the first time.... I'm surprised by how good it was! While it's not completely comic accurate, it has a very tight plot and good production value. The practical effects for Magneto's powers looked really nice and added to the realism. Really, I could never choose, so many X-Men are my favourite. Nightcrawler is up there, Kitty Pryde is up there, Storm is up there. Magneto is probably my favourite mutant, but I like him better when he's not an X-Man. I love Rogue and Jean and Angel and the whole O.G. 5 really, and Magik and Dani Moonstar and Rachel Summers and Jubilee and of ... X-Men Evolution had one of the best interpretations of Rogue. In X-Men Evolution episode 11, Xavier tells Logan they did a surgery on his brain to remove a control chip in Logan's brain. How would they access his brain given that he's got adamantium fused to his bones, hence his skull too ?

Another favorite involves the Marvel Anime stories Wolverine and X-Men, watching those with the guest-appearances from Logan in Iron Man and Blade (one episode each), that's 26 episodes of solid anime fun. I actually really like WatX and I don’t usually like wolverine as the main focus. Evolution is also pretty great.

Ultimately, it was an issue of X-Men that made me drop the whole line.There are several major changes as a result of AvX; the MU definitely doesn't reset to the SQ after. I wouldn't say it's "good" but it's worth reading if only to see the Phoenix Force costumes and what the X-Men characters would do with absolute power.
