EDIT: Theris are good for almost all bosses (except titans ofc) however you don't want them to fight the Broodmother, as Megatheriums are the ones useful here since they do a TON of "insect" damage. I recommend high stats for boss fights, wouldn't wanna lose your dinos. 17 votes, 15 comments.
Its likely the boss does not scale well with the max dino level multiplier left at the default setting. (keep in mind that the broodmother starts out with 324000 HP at level 1, and gains 64800 HP per level.
