Navy Fed uses Zelle, which is a competitor to Venmo. I suspect that may be part of the problem. This doesn't help, but I just use Zelle with everyone and it works flawlessly - especially if your friends' banking apps also have zelle. I just think it's a bank thats not compatible with instant transfer.
