Gives a little more utility to the hand that's holding your implement that is otherwise not doing anything until you get the initial ability at 6th level. Sanityfaerie. Thaumaturge. The Thaumaturge class – somewhat like the Investigator – gives a great, flavorful structure without requiring too many class feats to feel right. This is great for Thresh, who wants to take many dedications to fit his theme. And speaking of theme, Thresh begins with the Lantern Implement. Thaumaturge's core ability being based on Recall Knowledge was great in theory but had serious issues (with repeated attempts, enemy rarities, groups of same creatures, etc...). I'm glad they are detaching it from the other one, though I wish they'd also make actual changes to Recall Knowledge to clarify and fix the various issues people run into.Weapon Implement gives a intensify vulnerability to get +2 Status bonus to hit (accuracy is way more important than anything else for damage in 2E). Luckily level 2 thaumaturge feats are not too exciting. As for combat the goal is to be mid/backline with a hand crossbow meaning the level 1 feat to reload is a must. As to how it feels to play, so far not bad. It is really fun making up whatever esoteric weakness fits.
