You can do all the gwd bosses very effectively, range only zulrah, giant mole, and many slayer bosses aswell as general slayer. There’s also skilling bosses aswell as the gauntlet to do since they need little to no investment to do partake. Bowfa does have some costs.

Thralls, I do Bowfa only Zulrah with Serpentine Helm and thralls summon for maximum laziness while on mobile. Thralls don't really speed up my kills in a way that I can feel, but they do really make my kills more consistent since I'm not using a mage switch. The little bit of extra damage smooths out the rng of doing ranged only.

First off, you should literally never pvm with the bofa without the armor. A notable exception being shamans. Don’t use bofa without crystal armor. I get around 1:20 - 2:00 minute kills with range only, even got a new personal best almost sub 1 minute but that was pretty lucky.
Depends on the stats you have but you can definitely get a mage only zulrah kill for the diary KC. Wearing tank gear and mage and only attack during mage phase, other phases just hide so you won't take damage. 79 mage I used nezzy for Def/pray, ahrims top, mystic light legs, lunar boots, b gloves, glory, Ibans and crystal shield.
It'll depend a lot on bgs wherever defense is a hurdle but in places where it isn't it out dpses bowfa by a bit, like at zulrah with eagle eye it's like a 3% dps increase.
