Kawasaki mule overheating.
1 post · Joined 2017. #1 · Jul 14, 2017. I've had a rough idle with my mule for a couple weeks now. Runs well under load but dies, surges and idles horrible. I've cleaned the throttle body, ruled out bad gas, changed spark plugs, checked the fuel pump and filters. The only thing I've been able to determine is it's running very rich.
Neighbor's mule is overheating. Engine runs fine. He says the cooling fan won't come on and it overheats pretty quick and blows coolant out the overflow/over pressure. The thermostat housing has a large black hose coming out of it; I think the metal tube the follows the hose has the bleeder screw on it. By the was check the weep hole at the base of the water pump.
