The Super "M" has a stronger transmission [ stronger bull gears and axles], 10 hp more 264 cubic inch. The M has a little more power (an 88 would be more comparable)and a faster road gear than the 77 but thats about where the M's advantages end. The Oliver 77 has a 6 speed transmission, 6 cylinder engine, live pto, (a must for bailing)live hydraulics, and a 12 volt electrical system. The 77 just seems like a much more advanced tractor.

Neither IH or Allis was considerate enough to include a seat back, but the H or M sure don't make you sit in that squatting position.
