FPS in-game with OBS open is somewhere around 90-100, but in OBS its actually showing something closer to 5-15. Tried recording and the framerate was even lower than what was being displayed in the OBS preview, it looked like a slide show lol.the computer is getting hot. (this is likely because it is a building issue; the computer is cool when you start, but after you've been playing for a while it is heating up. your airflow is bad, which is PROBABLY just because your fan is dirty) If it HAS always done this, reduce the graphics settings, particularly shadows. Ever since around December 2020, every time Windows 10 installs Windows updates, FFXIV loses a great deal of performance. With every Windows update, FFXIV ran slower and slower. Windows 10 installed updates yet again last night and now FFXIV lags so bad that it is literally unplayable. It took more than 10 minutes to even load into the game.
