Glenfield 30a vs marlin 336.

Jan 7, 2021 · Hello, this is my JM stamped Glenfield 30A which is basically a Marlin 336 but with a cheaper stock and its in great condition. By my research it was made in 1973 based on the serial number. There is still plenty of rifling left so it hasn't been used that much. It comes with a Japanese made scope that is Glenfield branded and is very clear. Marlin marketed the following lever action center-fire rifles under the Glenfield name: Model 36G, from 1964-65 Model 30, from 1966-1972 Model 30A, from 1973-1983 Model 30GT, from 1979-1980 Model 30AS, in 1983. Earlier today I made a trade for a Glenfield Model 30A, cal. .30-30. It is pre-crossbolt safety, blue steel and a hardwood stock which I believe is probably birch. It is in very nice shape.
