I’m a player in a Kingmaker campaign that takes the Kingdoms rules and the premise of being sent to start a new kingdom, and applies to a 100% custom world/setting.
Mind you you will always have to load up the entire Kingmaker module. Which isn't that bad as they managed to keep it under 2GB, but it does add a bit of load onto your world and quite a lot of journal entries you don't need. It seems to follow the computer game fairly closely, which could be a plus or minus. There's a lot of content in there, so I feel confident any GM can mix and match material and still have plenty. 2.
