I have a Skinner barrel mounted peep on the 60 and tech sights on the 795. I would take the 795 every time. The dovetail issue is with the Marlin rifles, it's been a few here and there with the 60/795 series. It's been an issue for a while, my 2005 model 60 had this problem.
