Jan 4, 2019 · Turns out this is something called the "fuel evaporation leakage checking system". It was just odd hearing this sound 5 1/2 hours after I last turned the car off! Hope this helps keep someone else from freaking out the same way I did tonight. 2019 Subaru Ascent Premium, 7 seat w/ OP12. Pearl Crimson Red exterior. The noise only happens after the car has warmed up (10-15 minute drive), and happens when turning left or right at any steering angle really. I've checked the following: CV axels, wheel bearings, and tires. I'm about to bring it to the dealership but don't want the typical "that's a normal sound for a Subaru".
