I like Seven Seas because it works for every kind of civ. For the exploration side of the game, I like maps like Continents and islands, Archipelago, Island Plates or Small Continents where you discover the map with naval units, following the coasts. An other map I play often is Inland Sea. Trouble with the Triple Seven achievement? It's random enough to feel exciting but more reliable than Shuffle or Primordial which can be unplayable imo. Sometimes it's multiple big oceans you can connect with good Canal cities and build a super trade empire.
