You should have to pop the trim off the back that runs up olong the window post on the door. then pop off the little triangle mirror bolt cover on th e front post of the door. this will expose the screws and/clips that hold the panel on. They are an improvement over the Ford factory speakers in front. Highs and midrange sounds better. I did figure out how to remove the rear door panels and I replaced them with the same speakers. Because of the placement of those speakers I don't notice any difference for the rears. Should have just changed the fronts and forgot about the rears.

By the way, I did find the metal pushnuts at my local auto paint store. A package of 25 of them was 3 bucks. Anyway, that's my contribution toward removing the woodgrain inserts on the door panels. Slip the door handle through the hole in the door panel. You may have to push up on the panel to get the top of the panel over the door lock rod. Now push at all of the places where the plastic pieces to hold the panel were. Everything should be pretty snug and you can now screw in the couple of screws and then add teh rubber trim piece. Only the switch panel needs to be removed. To remove it just pull up on it in the front then pull the back out. It is held in by spring clips. Once it is off there is one 8mm bolt behind it. No clips holding in this door panel. Once all the bolts are out and speaker is out the panel pulls straight up and off. Very easy.
