EASYGEAR. 1033 posts · Joined 2015. #6 · Dec 2, 2017 (Edited) A wrench who works in a HD shop (bought used FXR part from him) told me, if you "just look" at the throttle, the M8 accelerates nicely, but if you let go from it, it`s like you suddenly shut off the engine. From that description of it`s character, i don`t have much interest.
Compared to the Twin Cam High Output 103, the Milwaukee Eight 107 accelerates faster from 0-60 mph by 11 percent. Equivalent to about two to three bike lengths, and 11 percent faster from 60-80 mph in high gear, which is about one to two bike lengths. But it smokes like a freight train on start up smells like a gas and oil mixture. Doesn't smoke as much after running a bit. Gonna change the oil again now that the shake down is over .
